SOT Meeting Minutes 12/9/2025
Meeting began at 3:04 PM
Members in attendance: Principal Zeola Braxton, Rob West, Colleen Lester, Luanne Wagner, Janice Kim, Ganesh Kadam
Members absent: Tamara Beeten, Kris Parikh, Haileyy Delos Reyes (student), Krish Sharma (student), Meredith Freeman (community member)
Meeting Minutes:
- Colleen Lester made the motion to approve the minutes. Luanne Wagner seconded. SOT members approved the minutes from November 19, 2025.
- Reviewed the student code of conduct and the incident response guide for all grade levels. Information pertained to behaviors and consequences.
- ACT: February 24 is the universal testing day. The program, Mastery Prep is being used to help students prepare for the ACT. This test is mandatory for graduation. Teachers can use the bellringers from Mastery Prep. This will help to expose all grade levels to the ACT across the curriculum.
- ACT Bootcamp offered by Tutors Across America. Dates will be announced. Teachers will also be coming in on Saturdays to help tutor students for the ACT.
- Moving toward multiple years of exposure to the ACT beginning in 9th grade.
- Website upgrades are in process. The school profile and the calendar will be updated and be more user friendly.
- No public comment.
Adjournment: Janice Kim made the motion to adjourn the meeting. Ganesh Kadam seconded. Meeting adjourned at 4:02 PM.
