About GEAR UP
Nevada State GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) is a federally funded grant designed to increase the number of low-income students prepared to enter and succeed in postsecondary education. Every student at Clark High School is a GEAR UP Student. Some benefits of GEAR UP are college application waivers for in-state institutions, tutoring, mentoring, and college visits. GEAR UP also offers college and scholarship workshops.
