Overview

Clark High School offers a variety of performing arts programs including choir at a variety of levels. Each course description can be found within the course catalog. In addition to a variety of classes, students can also join a variety of extra curricular activities programs and groups. Below are some descriptions of the variety ensemble groups students can join. 

 

Descriptions of Each Ensemble:

 

Concert Choir—This group is mostly comprised of freshmen, students that have never sung in choir before, some students who can’t fit advanced choir into their schedules, and meet in two separate periods on different days.

 

Sinfonia—This is an intermediate women’s chorus. The expectation is that these young ladies may have had some choir experience, but not quite ready for prime time.

 

Chanteurs Supreme—This is an advanced mixed group, attending the CCSD Advanced Festival. The requirements to be in this ensemble are VERY STRICT…… as these are the singing ambassadors that represent the school.

 

Men in Gold— This is an advanced group, attending the CCSD Advanced Festival. We are one of six high schools that actually have a Men’s Choir.

 

Shade of Soul—This is our vocal jazz group. This group works on very intense harmonies, tends to perform live with professional instrumentalists, and has to specialize in microphone technique. We are one of three high schools that has an actual vocal jazz program
